YASUO YAMASHITA

Yasuo Yamashita recounts how he, a second-generation Nisei Japanese-Alamedan, was drafted while interned at Gila Reservation, trained in the US Military Intelligence Service, and was sent to occupied Japan after the war, where he was assigned to a position instructing Japanese civilians in censorship of Japanese mail and correspondence.
