Vickie Summerfield, owner of Ole's Waffle Shop, tells of the early days of Alameda's Waffle HQ and her family's acquisition of the popular Park Street icon, then dishes on special menu items and the way she protects her top secret waffle batter recipe!

The challenge for the student team was in videotaping the interview amid the bustle and noise of the busy waffle shop. Mrs. Summerfield proved to be a gracious and well-spoken interviewee. The students had no difficulty finding images or vintage music to enhance their story.
